Onboard Autonomy Built for Operational Deployment
Noontide Systems develops onboard perception, tracking and guidance software for UAVs and loitering munitions. Its systems process sensor data directly on the aircraft and interface with its flight controller, allowing critical functions to continue when satellite navigation or communication links are degraded.
The company builds for operational integration rather than laboratory demonstrations. This means working within the constraints of embedded computing, airborne sensors, flight dynamics, and existing autopilot architectures. Its software is designed to be adapted to different airframes, mission profiles, and payload configurations.
Noontide projects move through four recurring stages: System Design, Simulation, Prototyping, and Flight Tests. These stages form an iterative loop that allows the team to identify limitations early, test assumptions, and develop autonomous systems that perform under real operating conditions.
Autonomy is only one part of a complete platform. Noontide therefore works closely with UAV manufacturers and system integrators, combining its software and robotics expertise with their knowledge of airframes, production and operational requirements.
The company’s team brings experience in computer vision, robotics, and data science, with a focus on turning research into systems that can be tested, integrated, and deployed together with industry partners.
